Nikki Bella, Royal Rumble Winner and #1 Contender for the RW X-Division Championship, has suffered a tragic ankle injury on the March 21st episode of Monday Night GENESIS. She was rushed to the nearest hospital after RW officials found her gagged and knocked out in a locked broom closet. According to her doctor she suffered an slight ankle fracture and many bruises to her ribs.
From Nikki's perspective she was attacked by a figure in a black hood after she covered with the current X-Division Champion Tara. She remembers being thrown into crate and feeling hazy. Nikki recalls getting hit in the ankle by a steel crowbar several times as her screams were muffled and then stuffed in the electrical closet.
The assailants motives are unclear as of now. Nikki Bella has since been released from the hospital and is resting in her Scottsdale residence for now.
